This conference, organised by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture with the participation of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, will discuss how the human right to sustainable and healthy nutrition can be promoted through investment in school nutrition programmes for children and adolescents. Stakeholders from government, civil society, research and intergovernmental organisations will come together to exchange information on state-of-the-art school nutrition programmes. Over the course of two days, participants will discuss how integrated approaches can develop policy, legal frameworks, quality standards, and infrastructure that support sustainable and healthy nutrition for young people and in so doing promote the creation of sustainable food systems, linking up with the goals of the United Nations Food Systems Summit in September.
