Nicolas Patt works on publications regarding social innovations for sustainable land management, focusing on securing land access for women, youth and resource-poor farmers, as well as improved access to extension services and technology adoption.
His expertise and interests revolve around agricultural research for development, gender and livelihoods, specifically in Sub-Saharan Africa. He draws on vast field research experience in Tanzania, Zambia and India.
Before joining TMG, Nicolas has worked with the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), WorldFish Zambia, and Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). He holds a master’s degree in Geographical Development Studies (M.Sc.) from Freie Universität Berlin and a postgraduate degree in International Cooperation for Sustainable Development from SLE Berlin.
