Larissa Stiem-Bhatia works in the transdisciplinary research project “Soil Protection and Rehabilitation for Food Security”, in which she coordinates research activities in Burkina Faso focussing on gender, land rights and structural hindrances to adoption of technologies for Sustainable Land Management. Before joining TMG Research, Ms. Stiem-Bhatia worked in the area of sustainable land and forest management, agroforestry, REDD+, and climate vulnerability of rural communities in Benin, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Ms. Stiem-Bhatia holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science (M.Sc.) from Lund University, Sweden and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Management Studies from the Hanze University in Groningen, the Netherlands.
