Global Soil Week

Healthy land resources form the basis of our livelihood systems. Nevertheless, soils are degrading at alarming rates. The Global Soil Week contributes to halting and reversing this trend, by bringing together practitioners and policy makers in designing an enabling framework for achieving land degradation neutrality (target 15.3 of the Sustainable Development Goals). Corresponding to the Agenda 2030 principle of leaving no one behind, a special focus is placed upon how to support vulnerable and disadvantaged groups in adopting sustainable land management practices.
