Anna Topp is an environmental economist and engages in the topic of finance for sustainable and climate responsive land management. At TMG Research, she is especially concerned with the question of how to provide access to finance for smallholder farmers.
Before joining TMG Research, she gained experience in development cooperation. Joining the young professionals’ programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), she worked for a project supporting renewable energy and energy efficiency in Vietnam as well as in the division for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean at BMZ.
Anna Topp gained expertise in climate change economics as a researcher at European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), where she completed her doctoral thesis on how to incentivize finance for climate mitigation and adaptation.
